Joanne brings a legal, academic and practical perspective to her policy advisory practice. Her prior research has focused on numerous social and economic public policy issues, including:

• Inclusive economic growth and diversification

• Social finance and social impact bonds

• Non-profit and charitable sector capacity-building

Joanne has published her research in Mowat NFP and Public Policy Forum publications, Policy Options, The Philanthropist and various newspapers across Canada. She has also co-presented policy recommendations before the House of Commons Standing Committee on the Status of Women and the Special Senate Committee on the Charitable Sector.
