Joanne is an Alberta-based lawyer and Rhodes Scholar who practices labour, employment, human rights, administrative, constitutional and nonprofit/charity law.​​

Joanne has a particular interest in advising employers, non-profit organizations, registered charities and philanthropic organizations in her legal practice. She also frequently collaborates with legal practitioners to provide legal research, writing and appellate litigation support services.

Prior to starting her legal career, Joanne clerked at the Court of Appeal of Alberta and the Supreme Court of Canada in the Chambers of Chief Justice Richard Wagner, P.C. These judicial clerkship experiences sharpened Joanne's legal research and writing skills and provided valuable insight into effective legal advocacy and the judicial decision-making process.
In her policy advisory practice, Joanne works with organizations across Canada to better understand complex policy issues and develop strategies for policy and law reform.
